Whatever the cause of your stress, Hot Stone Therapy will let you forget your troubles, relax, and experience the tranquillity of this ancient treatment.
What should I expect?
Firstly you?ll choose from one of three specially designed aromatherapy oils - each offering a different experience - detoxification, revitalisation and relaxation. After gently heating natural volcanic stones using water, we?ll give you a relaxing full body massage using the aromatherapy oil of your choice, and combine this with hot volcanic stones on key areas of the body to create a sensation of comfort and warmth.
What are the benefits?
The aromatherapy oils and volcanic stones combined with the massage will free tense and tight muscles, leaving you feeling tension free and relaxed. The volcanic rocks have also been specially prepared to realign your body?s energy levels to give you a sense of balance and well being. You?ll leave without a care in the world.
Contra Indications
Some medical conditions can make certain treatments unsafe for you. To avoid disappointment on the day, please let us know before your visit if you or any of your group is suffering from any ailments or conditions and we can offer guidance on how to plan the best day around your circumstances.
In particular, Waterfall Spa recommends guests who suffer from the following conditions not to have this treatment:
- - Breathing or Lung problems - especially if on medications
- - Chemotherapy or Radiation Therapy Treatments Within Last 6 Months
- - Currently Receiving skin Peeling Treatments - no heat or abrasive treatments
- - Diabetes
- - Epilepsy
- - Feeling Dizzy
- - Feeling unwell or Flu Symptoms
- - Heart Conditions/Pacemaker
- - High Blood Pressure treated with medication
- - High/Low Blood Pressure not treated with medication
- - Pregnancy or recently had a baby / breastfeeding
- - Malignant Tumour
- - Under the influence of Alcohol or Judgement impairing Drugs
All Waterfall treatments are subject to a completed medical questionnaire on the day of your visit. If you do suffer from any contra indications but feel strongly about having specific treatments then you may be required to bring a GP?s note confirming that it is safe for you to have certain treatments.

This hot stone therapy definitely relives tension!! I had knots in my back from working long hours at a computer and I felt so relaxed after this treatment. The effects lasted quite a long time too which was a bonus. This would not be ideal for people who like rough massages, but perfect for me as I prefer a softer touch - all the benefits with none of the pain!

After reading and hearing a lot about stone therapy, I finally decided that I?d try it on my day at waterfall Spa ? it?s quite a different treatment, but I can see why they are so popular ? it felt great, really relaxing ? it?s one of the treatments I?m definitely going to be getting again on my next visit (hopefully soon!)
